Non-Cosplay Costume Contest
If you love dressing up but don’t make your costume by hand, there’s still an opportunity to show off! Salt Lake Comic Con is excited to announce the Non-Cosplay Costume Contest.
There is no pre-registration required, just come early enough to sign up at the event. Anyone in costume is welcome to participate in this free contest. Kids under 12 can enter if part of a group entry.
The contest starts at 6:00 p.m., but is sure to be a popular event. Make sure to be at Room 250A early! We can’t wait to see all of your fun costumes!

Kevin Sorbo is best known for the roles of Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Captain Dylan Hunt in Andromeda, Kull in Kull the Conqueror and Professor Radisson in 2014′s God’s Not Dead.
Following the success of Hercules, Sorbo went on to star in the lead role of Captain Dylan Hunt in “Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda. The series, based upon writings from the late Star Trek creator’s archives, debuted as the number one hour show in first run syndication and held that spot throughout it’s five year run from 2000-2005.

From Hercules to Xena, Heidi “Hudson” Leick is known for her role as villainess Callisto in the television series Xena: Warrior Princess.
In 1992, Leick appeared in one episode of the series CBS Schoolbreak Special. The following year, Leick appeared in an episode of Law & Order. She played a small role as a “sexpot” in University Hospital as nurse Tracy Stone. In 1994, she appeared as the virtual reality designer Hannah in the television film Knight Rider 2010. Leick’s big break came in 1995 when she won a part on Melrose Place. Leick appeared in ten episodes of the series. After a couple of small roles in Hijacked:Flight 285 and Dangerous Cargo, the director Robert Tapert selected Leick for the role of Callisto on Xena: Warrior Princess. Leick also portrayed Callisto on three episodes of Xena companion TV seriesHercules: The Legendary Journeys and she portrayed screenwriter Liz Friedman in two Hercules episodes.

Sam Witwer is known for portraying Lt. Crashdown in Battlestar Galactica, Davis Bloome in Smallville, and vampire Aidan Waite of the US/Canadian remake of BBC’s supernatural drama series Being Human on Syfy. He also voiced main protagonist Galen Marek/Starkiller in the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed as well as The Son & Darth Maul for Cartoon Network’sStar Wars: The Clone Wars.
A lifelong Star Wars fan, Witwer provided both his voice and likeness for lead character Galen Marek/Starkiller (Darth Vader’s secret apprentice) in the 2008 video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and 2010 sequel Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. He has also voiced Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine) in both games. For Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Witwer had also vocally performed the Son in Season 3 as well as the iconic Sith Lord Darth Maul in the Season 4 finale episodes and in four episodes of Season 5.
Witwer made a cameo appearance in The Walking Dead as a zombie soldier in a tank in the Season 1 episode “Days Gone Bye” which reunited him with director Frank Darabont from The Mist. Witwer most recently starred in the North American remake of Being Human in the role of vampire Aidan Waite.
