Utah hit by ‘Sharknado’ in released movie clip

(KSL) SHARK LAKE CITY — Fans of the Sharknado series has seen how shark-filled tornadoes have plagued Southern California, New York and the nation’s capital.

The new installment features one hitting Las Vegas — and also, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Seattle, according to a trailer of the movie previously released.

In a clip posted by Salt Lake Comic Con Wednesday, the “sharknado” smacks the Wasatch Front, hitting downtown Salt Lake City.

Utah Gov. Gary Herbert thwarts the sharks from entering his office with a tennis racket (flashing a solid backhand). However, Salt Lake Comic Con founder Dan Farr wasn’t as lucky.

“Sharknado 4: The Fourth Awakens” will premiere on Syfy Sunday night. Ian Ziering who stars in the TV movie franchise, was once a guest at Salt Lake Comic Con.

Syfy spent time at Salt Lake Comic Con for its FanX series earlier this year, promoting its TV movie “Dead7.”
