SALT LAKE CITY, November 7, 2014 – Grow Utah, Salt Lake Comic Con, Zions Bank, and Salt Lake County today announced Bryan Brandenburg of Salt Lake Comic Con as a featured speaker at the 2014 Pushbutton Digital Media Event on November 12, 2014.
As Chief Marketing Officer and Co-Founder of Salt Lake Comic Con, Brandenburg will take the stage this year to receive Pushbutton’s Best Use of Digital Media award and share insight on how he and his partner Dan Farr helped create “the greatest comic con in the world,” as declared by “comicbook” legend Stan Lee.
Now in its fourth year, Pushbutton 2014 will be held at the Rose Wagner Center in downtown Salt Lake City on November 12, 2014. It is designed to bring together thought leaders, students and supporters of all forms and uses of digital media to celebrate and showcase the momentum occurring in this growing Utah industry.

During the program, Brandenburg and Salt Lake Comic Con will receive the Pushbutton award for their extraordinary digital media campaigns around their massively successive convention. Through nearly 140,000 fans, their social media pages reach up to 3 million people in the region in one week. Their targeted media approach has helped create the most attended convention in the state and one of the fastest growing comic cons in the world. During the presentation, Brandenburg will share insight into building effective media campaigns and what has made his Salt Lake Comic Con campaign so successful. He will also present a donation of the $3,000 award to Operation Underground Railroad, a charity that helps free kidnapped and exploited children around the world.
Other Pushbutton events include a $13,000 on-stage competition for Best Digital Media Student Work and Best Digital Media Innovations where selected finalists will pitch their ideas to the crowd for voting. Selected film shorts, a digital media legacy award and an industry reception will also be part of the evening’s events.
