Dracula Untold to begin Universal Monsters Universe franchise!
Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan are leading an initiative to create a shared movie monster universe similar to that of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, but with The Mummy and Frankenstein instead on Captain America and Iron Man. It has now been confirmed that this year’s Dracula Untold is part of this universe.
In an interview with HeyUGuys, Dracula Untold producer Alissa Phillips reveals that while it wasn’t originally the plan when they started work on the movie, this release is indeed the first step in Universal’s planned shared universe for classic monsters like Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, Creature Of The Black Lagoon, The Invisible Man, Bride Of Frankenstein, and The Mummy. She also teases an extra scene at the end of the movie which sets the stage for future installments in this particular franchise, provided it’s a box office hit.
First trailer for Pixar’s Inside Out is quite emotional!
Disney has released the first Inside Out trailer for director Peter Docter’s (Up) new animated film, which will be the first Pixar release in two years when it opens in theaters next summer. The story takes place inside the mind of an 11-year-old girl named Riley Anderson and focuses on her anthropomorphized emotions—Fear (Bill Hader), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Joy (Amy Poehler), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Anger (Lewis Black).
